Problems with computer, alendronic acid, and maybe bread.

The morning was the normal leisurely affair.
We couldn't go anywhere because the carrier would be collecting the box of blankets for my German correspondent.
If we had know that we would be the last address on the run, then we might have gone to Ford.
So, after a cup of tea in bed, we breakfasted and computers were switched on.
Sounds of chuckling and disbelief came from Bill by his computer.
He shut down and re-booted 3 times and still this was the sort of image that appeared.

Pictures were fine.
But what sort of font is that?
It is certainly not what was on the screen when it was switched off last night.
Bill was baffled.
This was a case for the computer doctor.
We have heard nothing from him, as yet.

He also took a couple of pictures in the garden.

Sausages I took from the freezer this morning were Chinese style.
Not really the sort for sausage and mash and onion gravy.
So I created a Chinese style dish with red onion, orange pepper and carrots and a sort of sweet and sour sauce and the sauasges.

Mid afternoon the parcel was collected.
Bill had talked with his cousin Ann yesterday about possibly visiting today.
He phoned her to see if it might be too late.
Of course she said that we would be welcome any time.
Her sister, Bill's cousin Betty was there too.
Ann showed me a booklet she had been given about osteporosis treatment - a useful book.
She is now on 3 monthly injections, having been on the tablets that I am due to take, for 7 years.
She had to get all her dental work done before she started on the injections.

But other injections were also mentioned in the booklet, which she had also been on.
In the book they were under a section about parathyroid glands.
These injections the patient administers themselves daily.
Mmmmm! Not sure about that! Maybe I will never need them.

Then we had tea.
I loved it. I had a tomato and lettuce and salad cream sandwich.
The sliced brown bread was good.
I want more sandwiches!
Who cares about the wind?
We watched Emmerdale together.
By the time we left it was almost dark, though a bright moon shone across the countryside.
Driving home had the atmosphere of autumn and into winter - the long light evenings have gone.
And how often this year we could really enjoy them?
