midwinter dozing

What day is it?
Seems it was Wednesday - but I have lost track of the days.
Off we went to post parcels this afternoon; the local post office was shut.
Never mind - we had driven there (to save us from getting cold and wet in the murky weather). So - off to Furnace Green; also shut on Wednesday afternoon. And so it was at Tilgate.
Parcels will have to wait until tomorrow.
And tomorrow's weather forecast is for even more dampness and during the afternoon the temperature will plummet back down to freezing and the snow will return at the weekend - but hopefuly will not be as deep and disruptive this time.
So, achievements have been few today.
The best bit has been to arrange a lunchtime get together and meal next Tuesday for some of Bill's family. We are going to the Crawley Wetherspoon's for a Christmas dinner.
I must go and pay a deposit tomorrow for 7 of us - could be one or two more.
This evening I have been dozing on the sofa.
The evenings seem so long that midwinter dozing seems inevitable. It was hours ago that we pulled the curtains.
Time for more dozing now.
