New reservoir and Nai Yang. Phuket
On the Sunday that Simon was with us, Bill and I took him to visit a couple of places that we had enjoyed.
First we called in at the 7-11 at Manik for lots of drink and then up into the hills to drive around the new reservoir.
The land is still scarred by excavations - but in a year or so will look like a natural lake, apart from the dam; which I have already posted pictures of.
For a landscape that has been recently altered and touched a great deal, I find myself enjoying the empty untouched feeling and the wide open spaces.
Flower on the sand.
There is fishing at Nai Yang - a basket of cuttle fish (I think).

We climbed up the hill to explore the little waterfall.
This waterfall tumbles down this reservoir side of the hills and on the other side is Kathu waterfall.
The camera was set wrongly.
This will show up even more when I post pictures of the following day towards James Bond Island.
Then we headed for the beach.
Simon would experience the jungly hills and an unspoiled beach and a delightful place to eat.

Oh good grief! I had no idea just how bent was my gait as I walk.
Bill and I had been there just over a week before and we were greeted like old friends.
Ouch! Just look at those wrong colours!
Bill's new wife maybe?
If one tells people Bill's age in Thailand, they look admiringly and comment on how strong he looks.
