Saturday meals and Kathu waterfall.

Saturday 25th October.
Time to get up early to meet Simon at the airport.

We grabbed some breakfast to eat out in the garden.
Ginger likes a cuddle - maybe likes cheese and ham sandwich!

I had ham and some rice crackers - with lingonberries bought at the market the previous evening.

Simon arrived.
We went back home for a cuppa and then went to eat at Krua Maireab.
That's the cafe on the Kathu waterfall road that we visited often.
The area is Maireab and Krua means kitchen.

Each meal is cooked individually - Simon got his first.

The rest of us had to wait!
Most people sit on wooden stools.
Bill and I were glad to move a couple of chairs with backs to the table.
Poor old souls.
After lunch we drove up the road a short distance to the waterfall. The road ends where it meets the jungle.
The waterfall is yet another of Phuket's attempts to widen the interest of tourists.
A stairway has been built and the footpath takes one quite high into the jungly hills.
We have walked there in the past.
I am not sure how many people leave their sun loungers in Patong to visit
the waterfall.
Local children love to play there.

Jessica and John run up the steps.

The older generations go a bit more slowly.

A good place to play and cool down.

Me and my boy!
Then it was time for some tourism.
Simon is a camera lover too - and snapped at almost anything and pictures are very good.
I love this one, taken from the front seat of the car.
I must look for this broom seller next time - and buy my broom.
