Ikea - 2nd attempt.
Having written about yesterday I hardly need write about today!
It was Ikea - Take 2!
The day began normally enough and rather idly.
Frieda came round for a cup of tea.
Then Bill went to construct the new chair.....uh oh!
Wrong colour!
This one was dark brown. We wanted cream/oatmeal.
It had to go back.
Bill checked on the Ikea computer and saw that there still was one chair like we wanted in stock.
We got our money back for the brown one and then went in search of a cream one.
Hooray! We found it. It was not in the warehouse location that we had read up in the show room.
Having paid for the chair, we treated ourselves to another Ikea meal.
I had exactly the same as yesterday - including that cake for 50p.
The journey home was not as smooth as yesterday. The M23 was closed and this had a knock on effect.
We left the hardly moving A22 and came home through the minor country lanes to Outwood and Smallfield.
We got home to work.
Ebay auctions finished this afternoon and more will end tomorrow.
So we have been wrapping and invoicing.
Bill has been cursing about the violin - very awkward things to wrap up.
The one I am selling seemed a good buy at £5 - but I discovered it was a very bottom end of the range violin, which people don't actually recommend. I am lucky that it has a bid of £9.95.
Bill is extraordinarily lucky with the bid on his Airfix kit.
I almost scroll down in fear that the bidding has gone higher! Surely nobody will pay more than £74?
They both finish tomorrow afternoon.
First we will escape to the country and the sea side - Ford and Littlehampton.
Time for another cup of tea. Good night.
