Tuesday - day of rest.
Tuesday - day of rest.
Cup of tea in bed to start the day - lovely!
I have got the dining room table clear - things all labelled and ready for sale.
Bill went out to dead head flowers and tidy the garden. We think poor Nellie Moser is ill and not going to make it. She produced a few beautiful clematis flowers and now the green leaves are wilting - dying of thirst maybe.
The clematis at the front - the lovely deep purple one is a mass of blooms.
The man from Tiscali rang today as promised and then assured Bill that a man from BT Engineering (or Open Reach as that department is now called) would be coming to fix the line. When? Today. Oh yes?
We stayed home all afternoon and have not seen a glimpse of a BT man.
We might be asking for compensation because, apart from about 3 hours when it was thought to be fixed last Thursday, we have been phoneless for almost a week.
I put 14 items onto EBay for their second attempt at reaching a buyer.
Often things sell second time round for more than the opening bid when it was first listed.
We shall see.
I wrote a piece about a Monday in the shop for the Pilgrims blog.

My ankle has not been much of a problem for most of the day. It takes my weight just fine - but objects to being twisted at all.
This evening it is swollen and sore.
Don't think I shall join the ranks of the compensation claimers over this one. I should have been looking where I was going. People really shouldn't complain if they don't take care about their own safety.
Bill, bless him, is doing the ironing. I said I would do it in the morning, when the ankle feels stronger. But, no! He just got on with it.
I'll make him a cup of coffee very soon.
