7th March. Three generations now.

I will start today with an amendment to yesterday's photo.

Here we have 3 generations of schoolgirls wearing their school ties.
Jamie added Jessica.
And lo and behold it can be seen on the jjjj blog already!
How strange it is that just at the same time as Grandpa and I suffer with colds we find that our son, 6000 miles away also has a cold.
Luck was on his side today. There were power cuts and the office couldn't function and so eventually they shut up shop for the day and he could spend most of the day pottering at home.
Grandpa and I are just old enough now to take pottering days as our right when we want them, and we certainly did need one today.
The bug has fought back. Just when we thought the worst might be over - or, in my case, that it wouldn't come to much, the bugs decided to show who was boss.
We haven't felt like doing much at all.
My throat is really sore and my head aches. Soon this sinus type cold will drop to my chest no doubt.
Bill continues to be reaching for the tissues all day long.
I think we will be early to bed, despite a brief visit from Bill's brother Michael. He delivered the invitation to his daughter Michelle's wedding, which will be in June. But we stopped and had a cup of tea and a chat for a while of course.
Yet again we come to a Friday evening but the debate as to whether we might go to Ford car boot sale has closed. We know that we don't have the energy at the moment - and it could be raining. It was early this morning. The weather forecast tells that things will get worse over the weekend until on Monday there will be fierce rains and wind again.
But there is nothing here like the cyclones that have hit Northern Madagascar in the last couple of weeks.
Dede's home town has just been hit and there has been quite a lot of damage. Dede's boat has not been badly damaged, whilst other boats have. On one island, where many of Dede's mother's family come from 75% of the housing has been destroyed.
We don't hear about such things on the daily TV news, but the BBC do have information on their web sites.
But enough ramblings for today. Goodnight.
