Life in the garden
Ashley and I went early to the Faygate car boot sale.
It was sunny and lovely.
The amount that we will have to drive up to Newcastle in October is steadily growing.
Well, what can you do when CDs are 20p each?
He bought 40 of them!
There are also books and DVDs.
I bought clothes for Young E - daft really when her taste in clothes is very specific; but how could leave attractive things there when they were 20 - 50p?
Back home I sorted London photos. I have 77 that tell the story of our day. That is far too many for a blog.
I will get them onto Flickr and advise you of the address.
This afternoon we visited a good friend of mine - a timekeeper.
It was good to see her....and very good to enjoy her hot tub.
Young E and I really enjoyed ourselves.
There we were relaxing in the sunshine, when we heard a sinister roar.
Astonished we looked up to see a flypast of a Vulcan Bomber and 4 small planes.
It was the sole remaining Vulcan in the world.
It went right over our heads.
It must have been a part of the air display at Eastbourne.
Then the garden was peaceful again.
View over the back fence.
And so, The Olympic Games are drawing to a close.
Mo Farah ran himself into a small select group of athletic heroes.
He was superb.
He deserves the success and the honour....and the money he has earned.
Once he tended to portray himself as the "big I Am" which was not very endearing.
But life and fatherhood have matured him.
Good luck Mo with the birth of your twins - in the next few days.
