Day out for bootsale, Bushey Park and a walk round outside of Hampton Court.
Must get some pictures posted!
Today we went to an interesting car boot sale - marred by lots of bursts of rain. We sat in the car for a while.
Ashley has come home with 2 sets of "boules" - really heavy, professional standard. This sort of set sells for anything between £200 and £300. No wonder he opted to have both sets that were for sale - at only £3 each.
From the same source I bought 5 bottles of wine for £5. Goodness knows what it is like. Three of the bottles are Black Tower wines.
He also bought a box of Chinese brushes, inks and paper.
We had big breakfasts in Walton - still raining.
Still raining when we parked up in Bushey Park.
And then the sun came out and we thought it was lovely.
Now for a few pictures.
By this time we were wishing we didn't have jackets with us.
The Diana Fountain.....not Princess Diana, but ancient Goddess Diana.
The thrones were still in place from the Olympic cycling time trial.
Home to sort out what we had been buying......and to rest.
Lots of rest - we were exhausted.
Ashley has a Chinese wall hanging.
The seller was an ex teacher needing to clear out things and who had lived at one time in China.
Then there was time to catch up with the Olympics and watch the evening events.
