Long time walking in east London.
Do you know, we have walked 10 miles or so today! Body aches now - need sleep.
The walk was good - though we did alter the given route to include much more towpath walking.
We missed the gin palace - breakdown in communications there. I guess I didn't listen properly to
Ashley.
Lunch in a cafe in Hoxton High Street.
It was so pretty beside the canal - hard to believe we were in London. Lovely trees, moorhens
squabbling, lovely barges/houseboats.
The worst part of the day was finding that Olympic security has now forced The Greenway path to
be shut.
We had to walk a long way round to the viewing tube - which wasn't amazing anyway.
Better viewing from John Lewis in the amazing shopping centre at Stratford (now that is a
shopping mall!).
Masses of photos to sort out - deleting many as I go.
But not now - and not tomorrow. Up early to go to Ford and Littlehampton.
