Ditchling Beacon and Ditchling Village
The weather was pleasing today - reasonably warm and no rain.
This morning I had my hair cut. Then I met up with Ashley at Asda - he had been fro a trawl of the Crawley charity shops (with no success).
After lunch we went to Ditchling Beacon and then took a walk in the village.
We don't appear to have been up on The Beacon for a while - there was an addition to the view - in the distance, gleaming with sunlight on it.
It has been the first season for Brighton to be at their new stadium.
Impressive structure.
Man and dog - with the Weald of Sussex beyond.
Father and son.
One of my favourite pictures of the day.
Brilliant blue speedwell flower and a dandelion clock.
Wind bent straggly trees on the top.
View across the Sussex Weald.
Unfurling ferns and a cottage door.
The cottage is attached to the baptist chapel.
Heron, with his eyes on the large Ditcling pond below his vantage point in the trees.
