Brief encounter

Both Ford and Littlehampton lived up to expectations today.
And the November weather was a treat - too warm for jackets!

Yes, it was sad not to be having breakfast in The Balaton.
Today we saw a few details of the cafe and the living accomodation above, in an estate agent's window.
The asking price is £500,000.

Wetherspoon's seemed very much as we left it 9 months ago.....all through the summer we have not been there.
We met people we chat to there.

But most of the chatting was done by the river in the sunshine.
She was both endearing and extraordinary....and glamorous.
Life is a ball for her just now.
She feels a freedom and self worth after a marriage to a man she now describes as despicable.
Her new partner has been mayor of Arundel, meaning she enjoyed a time as lady mayoress.
She moved in high circles - with the duke and duchess in the castle, for example.
She has been to organisations to talk about the mayoress life.
And she would have always looked fantastic.
I wonder how many of the people she has met were aware as we became aware that her clothes came from jumbles sales for pennies.
Her costume jewellery - of which there was much - came from the same sales.

And yes, she was very pleased to be photographed.
And I was pleased with yet another brief encounter.

I have not yet dealt with anything that I bought this morning.
I'll do that tomorrow.
