Phuket Chinpracha House.
This time last week we were almost home after our 3 very happy weeks in Thailand.
And this afternoon we went to see Jane and Geoff.
It is just as well we were due to eat the left overs of fragrant pork and rice - because we left J and G rather late in the afternoon. But then that's what tends to happen with good chat.
On our first day of the holiday we had already visited Koh Siray temple and had lunch at Kaewjai in Phuket Town.
We then took Mam and the children to Chinpracha House.
Bill, Jamie and I had been there last year - but Mam had never been.
It is a large house belonging to one of the old Chinese families.
Not my picture!
Willy Thuan is known to Jamie. Willy writes a Phuket based blog.
Thank you Willy - I hope you will be happy that I shared your picture.
At the entrance the old rickshaws wait to take family members into the centre of town.
Of course they would use the car these days!
The main reception room is dominated by a lovely water feature.
And 3 weeks earlier we had been enjoying our first day of the holiday.
I shall post some pictures from part of that day after this day's news.Today there has been some socialising.
Isobel, one of our neighbours, was round for a while. And this afternoon we went to see Jane and Geoff.
