4th August A fuller account of the trip to Wiltshire.

This is a continuation to the few words I wrote yesterday evening after our lovely long day in Wiltshire.
There were few pictures actually taken at Roger and Sue's house; we were either busy eating or playing!
The garden became a paradise for the fairies to find enchanted homes and also a brilliant place for hide and seek.

It is also a wonderful spot for rabbits to bound around the large lawn.
Roger set up the telescope and Ecky was entranced to watch them through it.

After dinner we sat out and had a cup of tea.
Then we walked into the village to visit the museum. The curator opened up especially for us - but then, Roger is the museum curator.

We enjoyed all the displays. Ecky and I liked to see the hand made clothes - including pink silk underwear!

We went into the store room...." I wonder what it in this box" said Roger. And we enjoyed the pretty fans. There is more about fans in the next entry.

The kitchen table was just as my Granny would have remembered it.

The wheelwright's workshop captured Bill's attention.

And of course so did the striking AA sign on the stairs.

The museum is right by the village church.

And the grave yard.

A picture of Roger and Sue taken by Ekatarina from high vantage point.

She climbed up onto the village war memorial. We looked at all the names.

When this picture was stuck into Ecky's diary this afternoon, she wanted to describe it as a happy picture of her Dad. It certainly looks that way to me too.
