14th March. Off on our travels.

Friday morning.

Well, despite the fact that we both feel a good deal under par, we are preparing now to go away.
We will have one night in Wiltshire with Roger and Sue. They have, not long ago, shaken off the nasty bug; so I hope they have some immunity to it and will not succumb again.
We will leave this morning and stop somewhere for some lunch - our thoughts have settled on Haslemere. It is a dull, drizzly sort of morning, but hopefully our health and the weather will allow ourselves a small explore of this small town which I know we have visited only once before and that was over 30 years ago.
It was when our very first French paying guest student was with us. Marc was a nerd, maybe he had other problems. All he really wanted to do was stay in his room and play his recorder; so we took him to a town where a famous recorder family had lived and that was Haslemere. I don't know what he thought of it all, but we liked the museum.
After that we shall probably arrive at Roger and Sue's and flake out.
