Checking times.
Must be brief.
Today was a shop day - an OK sort of Monday, but sales at the shop in the last week have been very poor.
I continued with my sort out of my stock.
I went through the stock file and looked at all china items and anything I have had for over 6 months I dramatically reduced in price.
There will be more of this to do next week - kitchenalia and glass next time.
This evening I have been through the electronic timekeeping sheets for yesterday's athletics.
I am pleased with my average error really - because I actually had a few real humdingers. My average error over 64 times was 3.59 hundredths of a second. But I did have a few errors of over one tenth of a second and one of almost 2 tenths - dreadful! I put it down the strain of controlling the team - bossing men about! And also some of the races were very close - with 4 runners in one race being all withing the same tenth of a second. It was my job to try and keep a picture of all that in my head - with a few quickly scribbled notes, so that I can assess the times being returned to me. I felt a smug grin come over my face as I went through the sheets and saw where I had definitely got things right. But I don't think that was all down to me - Sussex timekeepers are good and lovely people and mostly when they they return a time it can be depended on.
More athletics tomorrow. It is an Under 11s competition (I think) with kids from all over Sussex taking part in 4 events. It is a schools event. There are also events for disabled kids.
It will be raining - but maybe not as much as it has been during today and this evening.
OK - I want my cup of tea - and my bed. Good night.
