Sleeping Beauty

Fun evening with my nephew, lots of family, many thespians and audience of cubs and brownies full of enthusiasm.
It is pantomime time.

I offer you Queen Desiree!
Also known as Antony.
He was brilliant, as usual; His talent holds a show together - not that the others are not talented of course. They were all very good.

This was how he/she appeared at the beginning of the show.
Like all the cast he was good at involving the audience and responding to heckling.
It is a small and intimate little theatre - and so it is very easy for everybody to feel involved.

The pantomime was Sleeping Beauty.
Here we see the princess with Prince Charming and her doting parents, the King and Queen, looking on.

The front rows were filled with children - cubs and brownies.
They were enthralled that booing loudly was encouraged!
But we all booed and cheered and yelled "He's behind you" and so on.
There were eleven family members in the audience tonight. We enjoyed meeting up and chatting, with drinks, before the performance and at the interval.

When we emerged into the dark, it was raining heavily.....this could turn to sleat or snow tomorrow.
It had been fine, but with a chilly wind, during the day.
Bill and I walked into town, via the post office. We went to all the charity shops and also Poundland. I now have chocolates to take to the shop next week and some small gifts.
We used our bus passes to come back home.
