Littlehampton at low tide.
Yesterday was a Littlehampton day - well for a couple of hours.
The tide was far out, the wind was chilly, the air was crisp and mostly the sun shone.
Photographs are all mine, except the last one.
Such a different looking Littlehampton than the week before.
I walked all the way out to the water's edge.
Bill felt the chilly wind more than I did and kept himself more sheltered.
The estuary of the River Arun. The river is longer at low tide.
The wall is covered when the tide comes in.
It looks like a crafted sculpture maybe - this old breakwater post and weed.
Pattern of ripples on the sand and ripples on the pool surface - being blown by the wind.
There's Bill walking along the empty beach.
But look what he missed.......
It is a grey heron.
I was not completely alone.
The lovers by the water seemd not to have eyes for the heron.
Look, the clouds are rolling in from over the land.
By the time we got back to the river, we could see rain falling up stream.
The blue gas holder rather dominates the Littlehampton sky line - and we normally do our best to avoid having it appear in photographs.
But in this picture of Bill's there is a geometric satisfying creation of pale blue gaianst the dark sky.
That was yesterday.
Now scroll down to see snippets and fun things from today's activities.
