The 3 R's - Writing, raining and resting.

Well, Ecky has used the day profitably.
She has embarked on a novel.
She wrote the introduction this morning and has published it on a site she uses - with the slightly suspect name of "Deviant Art".
It is a very good piece of writing and I will ask Ecky if she will allow me to publish it here.

Despite feeling very tired we felt we shouldn't do nothing.
But all plans of visits to Hastings or Brighton evaporated with our exhaustion and the forecast of very lively storms.
This was Uckfield this afternoon.
Ashley went into town to attend Mass and then we all met up for a slightly more interesting lunch venue than any in Crawley - Wetherspoons at Gatwick Airport.
The roads round the north terminal are in chaos as all sorts of new building proceeds.
So, it was sort of useful to know before our trip to Thailand that all the bus stops have moved.
The monorail link between the 2 terminals is now renovated and open again and we enjoyed the ride to the south terminal.
We found a good table in Wetherspoons, from where we could see some plane movement....but we didn't stay long.
Two of us failed to to choose things from the menu that they actually had.
So, we decided to get the bus back to Crawley and eat in our own home town, The Jubilee Oak is a Wetherspoons, which we have not used before.
It was well after 2 o'clock - and bargain offers are available in the afternoon.
We felt relaxed and peaceful - apart from the thunder and the fierce rain battering the windows.
But it all passed over by the time we went for the bus.
Nobody has achieved very much this evening.
Lots of lounging and TV watching and not actually much eating.
The weather forecast is much better for tomorrow and we have Brighton plans.
I look forward to exploring St Ann's Well Park.
We will be home mid afternoon so as to be ready for an under 13s athletics league in the evening.
