Brother Matt the pastor.

I would love to be sharing pictures of our weekend away - but that will have to wait.
This morning we rested at Roger and Sue's - I even realised that it would not be wise to hunt out a car boot sale.
That was just as well because when we were out later, I noticed that the boot sale at Seend had been cancelled after heavy overnight rain.

After lunch we set off, though, in lovely sunshine for Cirencester.
It is a beautiful town with Roman history.
The narrow streets are lined with old buildings - not actually Roman of course.
Our destination was the Baptist Church to share in the service for Matt's induction as the Pastor for that church.
The church was jammed packed full. There was singing and praying (of course) and promises made by both Matt and other representatives of the church community.
The minister who has taken over Matt's City Gates Church based in Soho preached the sermon.
I mused on what our Dad might have been thinking as his son started this new venture - proud of course. And I thought further back to our ancestor that I didn't know - James Frost who was a lay preacher in a Baptist or Pentecostal church in Sussex. I have his chair in our bedroom.
Then there was tea and a chance to chat with people - some family and some of the church people too.

Our journey back to Crawley was uneventful and speedy - it took less time than our journey to Market Lavington.
The cloudless skies, though disappeared and we drove under black skies, tinged with snatches of rainbow for a while. But the rain came to nothing.

I have got in and sent invoices to EBay buyers - 6 more books sold this afternoon and 4 of them are off to foreign climes.

Now time for a cuppa and an early night.
I shall get up early to deal with payments and get things ready for the shop........how can it be Monday again already?
