Thursday work and good news.

Today I have worked on eBay describing.
I bought 21 News Chronicle football annuals a while back. They cost me about a pound each. Today I described and listed 7 of them - 5 of them have bids already - these are the pre war annuals. I can foresee these 5 making my money and all the rest when sold will be a bonus.

I was later getting started on my work than planned for this morning there was another family phone call.
Bill's sister, Jane rang.
I wondered what had happened for it was only yesterday that Bill had phoned her to wish her well with the oncologist this afternoon. Today she will have been told all the results of the investigations into her breast cancer and no doubt will soon start chemotherapy.
But her news was happy this morning.
Her son, Barrie and his partner, Lindsey have been on a big round the world sort of holiday. They are in New Zealand just now.
He rang his mother yesterday evening to announce that he and Lindsey had just got married.
They had been determined to have a no fuss wedding and told nobody of their plans and of course nobody was there, except one friend who lives in Auckland.

Bill has been busy too. He sorted out the replacement of parts in our central heating system.
Then he cleaned up 2 barometers that he bought at Ford last Saturday.
They are not perfect and one needs mercury and the long tube to be cleaned. Nevertheless John, the Pilgrims dealer who has barometers reckons that they are worth a bit.
Bill is pricing them up at less than John suggested, so maybe John will buy. That's fine by Bill - he will make a bit and so can John.

Not much other news. The awful wind and rain of the night and early morning abated and the day has been quite pleasant - but yet again I haven't been anywhere.
Tomorrow will be different. Pete and Jean are in town - from their North Wales home. They have lots of family and friends to see and tomorrow its our turn! We will maybe have a walk in Rottingdean and then eat at the Marina Wetherspoons - depends on the weather.

Goodnight.
