Saturdays at Tynemouth Station
Lazy day so far.
Building strength to care for our young nephews this evening - aged 4 and 5.
Been sorting some photos.
So I can share with you a few from our Saturday morning in Newcastle - though Tynemouth is not actually in Newcastle.
We went there on the Metro, jumped off the train straight into the middle of a flea market.
Heaven!
There were stalls of all kinds - including food stalls.
We didn't buy squirrel. This was a stall from Hexham, specialising in game and they supply squirrels to up market restaurants.
We did buy 2 bottles of very good non alcoholic ginger wine, made locally.
Ashley and books.
It was cold on the station. We walked the short distance into the town and enjoyed a huge pot of tea at the tea shop in the old disused chapel.
Not well focussed - but I had to keep it because the slogan on the left says it all!
I look forward to more Saturdays at Tynemouth Station.
