The winds of Epsom.
So windy!
It took some of the pleasure away from the sunshine.
We were in Epsom early this morning - the car boot sale was huge.
Half the stalls were on the shady side of the field - under the shadows of tall poplars.
It was cold at that end with the fierce wind in the trees sounding like a rough sea and stalls and people were strewn with leaves and twigs being blown down.
The other side of the field was a little more peaceful and sunny - but still things like clothes racks were being blown over.
We didn't really buy very much - but I hope that my finds will lead to profit.
Breakfast was taken in Epsom town centre - in The Assembley Rooms, now a Wetherspoons. This is the Wetherspoons with the most wonderful ladies' loo upstairs that has the air of an 18th century drawing room, with carpets, pictures, books on shelves etc.
We had with us things for the shop.
We were there longer than intended; we turned the sign round on the door to announce that we were open and customers kept coming in!
Both Bill and I sold things whilst we were there, so that was good.
After 3 hours we had a chance to close up and get home.
Home to doze.
Work can wait until tomorrow.
