Tis the last night.

Life has been full - and even when we are at home there is little time for me to get to the computer.
I shall catch up with some episodes of the last 2 and and a half weeks during next week - meanwhile I have some photos of the last few days.

This is the last night that Ashley and Ecky are with us - some normality will return to all our lives. But life will feel just a bit emptier until we are all used to it.

Last Wednesday we went to Gatwick Airport.

I like this picture of three generations that Bill captured whilst we were on the moving walkway.

On Thursday we went to Brighton.
I want to go through all the museum and Brighton Pavilion pictures - but I have a miscellaneous few for now.

This is the exterior of St Bartholomew's Church.
It is reputed to be the tallest church in England - the top of the roof is the tallest roof top anyway.

Inside is very calm and beautiful, with many fittings in the art nouveau style that I love.

Then we wandered through the North Laines.

Bill was very taken with this fine Mercedes.

Ecky preferred the Pikachu couple.
Picachu is a Pokemon character - and features on her the hat and tea shirt.

We stopped in a bead shop.
It would be possible to buy masses of beads for very little money - well, the ones that were 1p and 2p.

Ecky preferred to make a pendant with a Celtic theme.

On Friday we met up with Carla, Emily and Gemma.
We had lunch at Horley Wetherspoons.
The girls had plenty to be getting on with as we waited for our meals.

When we got home, Ecky opened an item found in Hobbycraft that I agreed could be an early birthday present.
The three girls loved it and worked happily together creating outfits.

Here is Topaz who features in one of the stories Ecky is writing.
Today we went to the Ford bootsale.
I found interesting things to sell.
Ecky found more Pokemon and Game Boy things.
We had breakfast in Littlehampton and had a walk by the river.

The swan couple and their two cygnets are still residing on the lifeboat slipway.
We took pictures of them last time were there.
The parent swans are very protective of their little ones and when a dog ran down the slipway for a swim they hissed loudly and stood guard.

Well bags are almost packed.
Much more will be left here until Bill and I go to Wales in November probably, but maybe right at the end of October for half term.
But we have plenty of time in the morning for some car boot saling.
Then we will have a roast dinner and take them to the station for a train at 3 o'clock.
