Sailing along.
We lay snug and warm as the alarm went at 6 o'clock.
Shall we, shan't we get up?
In the end we did and went to the Burgess Hill Lions Giant car boot sale - a Bank Holiday Monday fixture.
It was good to meet up with some of the ex Rocking Horse people.
More of them later.
I bought very little this morning. Bill bought quite a lot of model cars.
It was quite chilly.
When we had finished browsing we mused on "What now?"
Let's be honest, the only reason we got up so early was so that we could reward ourselves with some time out and a breakfast!
We went to Brighton and parked at The Marina.
The sun was shining - but the breeze was still chilly.
We enjoyed a bracing walk, watching boats. There is always lots of activity on the water.
So many small pleasure boats - quite a few not so small.
There is much money tied up at these moorings.

"Fill her up, mate, please".
We wondered where the people on this boat might be sailing off to.
A deep lock had to be negotiated, taking the boat in to the inner basin; a second hand boat sale was taking place there this weekend.
Perhaps this boat owner had his eyes on something bigger and better.
Now that boat must have come from somewhere - amateur fishermen maybe, sailing around the inshore waters, or from across the channel maybe.
Some boats are working boats - a small fishing fleet works from The Marina.
Here the nets are being neatly folded and stowed away until tomorrow.
The apartments on the right, with their balconies always look a very appealing place to live - except that when the wind whistles across the harbour there is such a clanking of steel ropes against the masts.
After our walk we rewarded ourselves.
We chose Frankie and Benny's today.
We had the biggest breakfast each and unlimited tea and coffee for £10.
F and B's has a bit of a 1950s theme and the background music (not too obtrusive) is all familiar stuff from our youth.
There is a big Asda at The Marina and we made use of it for a few bits that we needed - and we bought diesel fuel for the car - 3p a litre cheaper there than the cheapest we have seen anywhere else and much cheaper than some petrol stations.
We travelled back home via Hassocks to visit the new Rocking Horse shop.
It is lovely and doing so very well.
Of course we were tempted to become part of it. It is organised just like the Ardingly shop but is now in a better situation and has attracted many more dealers and customers.
Jo is selling there and was on duty.
But she did confess to me that she is feeling very stretched trying to have stock in two shops and have time for her family.
It made me realise that we should be very, very cautious before even daring to think about taking a space in Hassocks.
We enjoyed a cup of tea with Joy and Peter.
It was 3 o'clock before we got home.
I have dealt with a few EBay sales.
Tomorrow we will be in Dorking for the day. We are doing a duty for Stephen. It will be lovely to have the whole day with Jo.
I should sort out a box of things to take to the shop tomorrow - and then time for a cup of tea.
Goodnight!
