Dreaming of paradise

Today I can take you to paradise!
On our last Sunday with the 4 J's we went to a small bay, known in English as Paradise Bay.
Jamie, of course, is ahead of me and has already blogged our visit for his Phuket Blog. This blog is designed to capture the hearts and minds of anybody who clicks on - mostly people planning to visit Phuket or who visit often or who just love some happy memories. This blog takes people off the beaten track, far away from most of the obvious places.

I have used some of Jamie's photographs here - but mostly mine and Bill's. Jamie's blog doesn't contain recognisable pictures of the children because it is open to all.
My blog has lots of pictures of the children.

This picture is mine, capturing many people's dream of what a paradise beach should be.

Paradise Bay is part of the huge inlet which has Patong at the heart.
Patong is brash and crowded - this view is the closest you will get to it on this blog. The town is just visible beyond the longtail boat.

This is Jamie's picture. He has a good collection of children jumping over the waves!

The feet have come down to earth - but the hair stays up!

Oh that lovely water!

Jessica likes to browse the beach for interesting things. She has a water bottle for a collection of little crabs; they always get released before going home.

Searching for treasures and crabs.

"I've got one!"

"What sort of sea creature is this?"
Click on the picture - you will see she has a sort of black limpet.

Jessica also likes to dig in the sand and watch the water ooze up to form a pool.

Bill strolled for a while on the beach, but needed to keep mostly in the shade.
It was a very hot weekend.

There was a picture of John sitting in the water above - here is Jamie taking a series of such pictures.

I had a swim for a short while.
The tide was going out and unfortunately it was not far off the beach that the ground was covered with sharp coral, which I couldn't cope with.
Hell, even in soft shoes I notice the smallest little stone on a pavement and it hurts.

Four of us in the water. The children can swim. Jessica has started swimming lessons at the pool near their house since we left. John does still use arm bands here.

Perfect lunch - a fried rice with something..... was it pineapple or prawns that day?
And a glass of water melon shake by the side - thick and juicy and sweet and cold.

Jessica enjoys a banana.
