15th July Ekatarina (Katya) in her room.

Ekatarina's room is filled with toys, books, ornaments, pictures and many other things of interest.
Like many children these days it is easy to say that she has too much - but how can one resist adding to the collection when the prices of second hand items are so cheap?
The doll's house was a gift from her other grandparents. It is a beauty.

Katya (as I call her) chooses a book from the book corner. The choice was not difficult for us because we love Angelina Ballerina with delightful stories and illustrations packed with details.

Waiting for Grandma and the story.

At the end of the bed is the huge family of dolls of cuddly toys. They all have names of course.

Katya hugs Angel the dog, who she found last year in a Crawley charity shop and Emma the rabbit who we bought for 50p at the car boot sale on Anglesey that morning.

Here are some of the toys on the table by the window. That table has had a good life. First it belonged to our friend's Mogs and Dave - it was probably second hand when they got it. Later they gave it to us. And when Ashley and Liz moved to Northampton we gave it to them. Since then it has been in Lancashire and now Wales.

Katya loves her pictures - especially the ones pinned to her notice board.
She loves the map of the world.
And the times tables are slowly being absorbed.
Katya is still waiting for the Angelina Ballerina story! But soon she snuggles down and we enjoy the words and the pictures.
