Working day for the Concrete people.

Another grey and rather damp day.
Mostly we have been at home.
This morning we went and got tickets for a performance of The Pirates of Penzance at The Hawth.
It is being staged by an amateur company who are very polished. We have seen things done by this group before.
I think it will be a good experience for Ekatarina and Ashley who will be with us.
We did a bit of shopping at Lidl whilst on that side of the town.
The people outside have continued to work.
Mostly we are feeling quite tolerant.

Here is a digger cutting trenches. This was taken from our bedroom.

A huge concrete lorry has arrived and the liquid concrete is pumped by the blue truck with the long arm into the trenches.
Our bedroom window is behind the pump on the blue truck.

A wide shot showing the long arm with the concrete.
And look! There is the small tree that has been saved.
They had better be careful!
It would be all too easy to knock it, shrug the shoulders and say sorry.

Another view looking back towards our house.
It is half past six now - dark - but another concrete lorry has turned up.
They will work until all the liquid concrete is dealt with.
I will now put the left over beef and vegetable pie in the oven and soon it will be dinner time.
They do say that there will be some sunshine in the middle of the day tomorrow.
