That was the day. June 9th.

A grey day!
Comments on facebook suggest that I am not alone in feeling some resentment that it is not very summery.

A sad day too!
This morning we had news that Bill's second cousin Joyce has died.
Joyce is from a branch of the family who emigrated to Canada. We knew nothing of them until I began the family history project - which has been pushed too far onto the back burner just now.
Joyce is the grand daughter of Bill's Great Aunt Jane. Bill's father had hazy memories of Gr Aunt Jane and those memories were our only knowledge of her until that contact was made with Joyce. Now we know so much about Great Aunt Jane's descendants - right down to baby Xavier who had been born in Taiwan. Joyce knew of his birth and so desperately wanted to meet her 9th great grandchild. The family flew in just hours before her death - just enough time for her to hold the baby and know she had passed on her love to him.

A lazy day!
I have worked - but not as much as I should have - there are still outstanding things to do on my list.
But I have described and listed 14 more things for EBay.
There are bids on 2 of them already.

A day to think about the tea set!
Jo phoned me this morning and told me it was much too cheap.
I still have the tendency to be unable to price things at what they are worth. I think only of what I might be prepared to pay.
Jo has re priced it all for me. Thank you Jo.

A day for sausage and mash!
More sausages from the extra good sausage maker who sells at Ford. Today we had St George's sausages made with ale.
Now that was tasty!

A school day!
It was for many people of course. For me it was day to prepare pictures of John and Jessica's school. Scroll down to see a selection.
