Another day filled with activity.

I haven't forgotten that we are only half way through describing the Thai adventure of course.
But today, as yesterday, gives me no time to think about it.

Once again we have hardly been at home.

There were boot sales at Pease Pottage and Sayers Thatch - both big.
I awoke feeling fragile - digestion is not stable. Bill has a similar problem, so we assume it is all part of a bug.
But we were not so bad that we stayed away from the sales - we wanted them and Ashley most definitely wanted them.
We have bought things - but nothing of mine is sorted from yesterday or today.
We met Ruth, Dede, Felix and Otto at Shaves Thatch.
Good, because we have been slow to make contact and Dede may not be in England for much longer. This has not been fully decided.

When we got home I had payments to deal with. I now have 8 parcels to post tomorrow.

This afternoon we have been to Ifield to actually spend some time with Ruth and the boys - Dede needed sleep. Hang on Dede! So do we all!
Felix and Otto were charming and we relaxed for a while in the sunshine.
There will be photos.

It was getting late and I felt exhausted. I didn't want to cook.
I decided we would treat ourselves to dinner out.
Unfortunately for the first time, Wetherspoons let us down. The quality of food and the service let us down badly.
For example, Ashley ordered extra roast potatoes with his meal and they failed to appear. After a 10 minute wait a bowl of potatoes appeared, looking like roast potatoes but frozen on the inside. By the time he had finished eating he had extra cooked roast potatoes.
Then we waited ages for the puddings Bill and Ashley ordered.
When reminded the waiter he said they would be with us shortly and they were.
They had obviously been sitting around in the hot kitchen for some time - the custard was congealed on the top and luke warm.
Naturally there were complaints and a young lad appeared who had the title of deputy manager - he handed Bill double the cost of the puddings. Perhaps he thought no more would be said. But we had to have our say!

It was a day of upheaval for the 4 J's in Thailand - instead of going for a planned picnic they spent time in the hospital for John to have stitches in his head. See the weather blog - yes, we really do mean that the weather blog is about much more than the weather!

Very tired now - will be in bed very soon. Its not yet half past nine.
Shop tomorrow.
Last week I complained of feeling low and not getting around to anything - now I am thinking that there is just too much going on!

Goodnight.
