Ashley back in Crawley.
I suggested this morning that we were preparing to kill the fatted calf to celebrate the visit of Ashley.
In fact the calf was not touched (although some beef has been bought) for we got good food and goodies in Asda and Lidl.
I tried to get as much as possible so that not much more shopping needs to be done during his 10 day stay.
After lunch I was wrapping and invoicing.
The items sold today were never destined to make much money but I have now finished with any items that were listed for the first time before the Thailand trip.
A few items can try their luck in Pilgrims and others can go to a charity shop.
Today I sold 7 things.
I had intended to do some describing - but that didn't happen.
Ashley arrived at half past four.
He seems quite tired.
We have enjoyed salmon in a sweet chilli sauce - delicate and subtle and not at all overpowering. This was from the wet fish counter in Asda.
The day will be busy for us all tomorrow.
We will go to the small local boot sale first thing - we don't have time to go very far.
Then Bill and I will be busy at a big athletics meeting - well, it used to be quite prestigious. It will be a long day.
Ashley will spend time at the church.
Although the Crawley Catholic church is not his church he has visited on a number of occasions now and he will be glad to be there tomorrow evening for the consecration of the new altar etc - after a major renovation.
I hope he will be able to join us at Jane and Geoff's. It is Geoff's 65th birthday and his offspring have arranged a small gathering of family and friends.
We will meet a great niece for the first time - Isobel was born in January.
There should be photos.
But I am not sure when they will appear.
There will be no Thailand section tomorrow - for we shall have very little time at home.
Meanwhile there are pictures below of our day in Thailand 4 weeks ago.
