Saturday May 16th Haircuts and a party

The Saturday was relaxed - we had expected and hoped for the complete relaxation of the Beach Bar. But it had closed for the low season.

In the afternoon Bill and Jamie went for hair cuts. The two hair cuts cost about £4 and that included a tip!



John went too - but after one time with short hair we all love to see John's hair long.


In the evening we went to a 7 year old's party.
Giuliana is the daughter of Italian Diego and Thai Ann.
We met her first as a very tiny baby - she had been born prematurely in 2002.

The party was held in the street of Diegos and Ann's house in Kathu.



There were lots of children - perhaps Diego didn't actually know who they all were!

I forget this pretty girl's name - she is Wai and Allard's daughter.


I don't know who this little boy is - but he was enjoying Diego's pasta.


Jamie enjoyed a beer.

The men gathered round the expensive car - a Mercedes with an electric roof.

Meanwhile the women gathered round the food preparation.
