Our home in Crawley and the cottage on the Isle of Wight.

Well, the kitchen work is almost done - apart from the flooring and papering of course.
Our man will be back to finish off a couple of things.
This afternoon it was our turn to work. It began to seem like we would not get everything back - and remember we had already discarded things.
But the kitchen things now all have a home. We can't be sure if they are in the right homes, but time will tell.

We still have the chest of drawers to empty - things will go back into a tall cupboard with shelves. But we have now put a wooden drawer unit on to the floor of that tall cupboard for all the little bits and pieces.
I think the chest of drawers will be off to a charity shop.

The room looks good - bigger than it did before. There will be photos soon.

But for now I will show you the home we had for a week on the Isle of Wight.
There are still more interesting episodes from our week, but for this evening I will make things simple for myself. I am really tired.
This is Honeysuckle Cottage in the village of Niton.

This was our warm and comfortable sitting room.

And here is a pine tree seen through one of the porthole windows.

This is the view back into the dining area and a glimpse of the stairs to the left.
There were 2 bedrooms upstairs. and a bathroom.

Our bedroom

And interesting items arranged on the floor.

We set the lap top up in the dining area. Bill is sorting out the day's photographs.

The kitchen fascinated me because Sue, the owner, had a collection of Scandinavian kitchen china that I have loved and sold whilst in Rocking Horse.

The kitchen window - looking out to the narrow hill road out of the village.

There will be some village pictures too later on.
