3rd August Buchan Park at twilight with Ekatarina
On the first Friday of Ashley and Ekatarina's stay I couldn't do very much because it was a treatment day at the hospital.
But in the evening, after our dinner, I thought I could enjoy a short walk at Buchan Park.
The towers either side of the water spill add an attractive aspect to the lake.
Ekatarina hides behind one of the towers.
I love this lake at dusk - it was about half past seven when we were there.
Towards the left hand side you can see a sculpture that has been carved from wood found in the forest.
Fallen tree trunks are to be walked along - whatever your age!
Ekatarina greets the carved monster tree trunk.
This collection of toadstools or some such fungi looked just right to be a village for the fairies to return to at sunset for a night's shelter.

She walked along the monster's back once with me holding her hand and then realised that she could do it herself - enjoying stamping on his nose when she reached the end.
