Birds, Boats and Beasts.

I have called today's photos "Birds, Boats and Beasts".
They are Littlehampton photos, but yet again we have looked at things in a different way.

The car boot sale at Ford was very pleasant. There has been a Thursday boot sale of a couple of years, but we have not often gone.
We wish now that we had set up a stall there with all the stuff we had been storing in the garage. We would have done better and enjoyed it more than at Pease Pottage.
We didn't buy a lot, but there was time to chat.
We bought some plants for hanging baskets.

Breakfast was at The Balaton.

Our walk was along the beach.

I took a picture of a singing blackbird on this branch last time we passed this tree.
It was Bill who got the best shot of the singing robin today.

The tide was way out.
Gulls were feeding from the wet sand.

Or having a dance!

We fed some bread to the huge flock of swans in the river.
So, that was the birds. Now for the boats.

Bill joined a trio of men sailing their models on The Oyster Pond.
Apparently they meet up every morning.

Another man was sailing his model barge. It is a 1/12th scale replica of his own barge.
And now for some beasts.

Well, no actual creatures here - but evidence on the sand of their existence.

Dog walking round The Oyster Pond

A trip out with the dog, along the sea front.
The little dog was put down for a run shortly after we had chatted.

This afternoon we had another walk.
We took a parcel to the post office and then on to the community centre to cast our votes - one for parliament and one for the local council.
Did I do the right thing?
Does it matter what I did?
Do I really have any power to change anything?
We'll know more in a few hours. I shall have the radio on in bed - I always do, wearing headphones so that it doesn't disturb Bill. I normally fall asleep with the radio on, so no doubt will tonight.
But I love election night - always have.
Not a day goes by without some medical news.
The GP rang today to say that I would have to have my recent blood test done again. The hospital didn't get it right.
That is so annoying, because I opted to have it done at the East Surrey Hospital where they have better facilities than in Crawley for special blood tests.
So we travelled and paid for parking - and still it was not right.
Next week I will have it done at Crawley, if possible.
It means that when I see the endocrinologist tomorrow morning (at Crawley) there will be no up to date blood test results.
Right, time for a cup of tea and maybe be in bed by 10 o'clock.
For a while I could see reporting about the election on TV. For the first hour or so it will only be conjecture and exit polls.
Good night.
