Flat Friday

It has been a flat sort of day.
We had tentatively talked of going to a National Trust garden. But just about the time when we might have set off, the sky came over very dark and it rained a little. We didn't actually make it out anywhere at all.
Before the rain, Bill had been out in the garden, making that look fresh and neat.
He has done much physical work this week - tiling the floor and digging the garden and I am sure he was glad of some rest.
After lunch he did something that had to be sorted. He fixed up our insurance for the Thailand trip. I know it is 2 months still, but it feels good to know that we now have everything done.
What a waste of money we hope insurance is!
We can't risk not paying up and we hope that we actually get nothing for our money beyond peace of mind.
We were glad to take the advice of a Rocking Horse colleague who uses Global. Bill had looked up several companies and none could match them. Some companies offered cheaper insurance but only to the young and healthy.
I have described a few more things.
This evening the Comic Relief evening is on TV - we have seen some of it. It would be much more worthwhile without the manic presenters. Half way though we lost Davina McCall - hooray, I thought. But then on came Jonathan Ross - though he hasn't actually been too puerile.
He is intelligent enough to know that the stories of struggle for people throughout the world speak for themselves.
The weather forecast for tomorrow is OK and I am sure we will get out to somewhere. We need a break.
And now for a lovely cup of tea!
Goodnight.
