28th April. Purchases from Ford. Part 2.

Here is a selection of things that Bill bought to sell when we were at Ford last Saturday.

Old model aeroplanes, mostly Dinky.

Fire dogs. Now most people in this country would know what fired dogs are even if they have never owned any. But Mam would have no knowledge of them of course - nobody has a fire in the house in Thailand. Fire dogs are kept by the side of an open coal or wood fire in the living room. They are used to rest fire tools on - poker, tongs, brush etc to make sure that hot things are not put down of the floor.

Model farm animals and people. This lot was a bargain at £10.

Bill doesn't do much china, but sometimes things catch his eye.
There was a time when the ornaments made by factories in the USSR were very popular. This Russian hedgehog is a bit later - after the break up of the USSR.

This picture needs a bit of work. The back is a real mess.

These are cheap, quite modern, model cars by the manufacturer Days Gone.
They will sell for about £2 each.

This dumper truck is big and heavy and already has a bid on EBay.
It was bought in its original box.

These attractive old drinking glasses were bought for £1 for the lot.

This clockwork tin plate toy is modern (but not new) made by a well favoured manufacturer.

Bill has collected and bought and sold interesting old cameras for years.
