7th March. Last day - home tomorrow after about 21 hours travelling.
I am sitting here writing as Jessica sits close by to do her homework.
She comes in after 8 hours or so in school and usually does her homework straight away - well after a ham and cheese sandwich.. It is normally numbers and letters - Thai and English, and Thai letters are really complicated to draw.. She is adding together numbers above 10 now.
After homework she will take herself off to have a shower.
Well, this has been my last day and I had saved up my shopping until this day. I packed my suitcase early, just to see what space I have.
I have bought various odds and ends from medication to clothes - something for Ruth's baby and something for me.
I have ended up with an abundance of sharp kitchen knives! I bought one for me in Central and one crinkle knife for Ashley. Then in Tescos there was a supposed one day only offer of a collection of knives for 190 Baht - Mam assured me this was very good. Then Mam gave me a sharp knife that she won't use. She refuses to use a sharp knife and is a bit afraid of them, so cutting vegetables and meat is a chore.
They will all be in my case of course and not in my hand luggage and I hope there is no query.
Oh the poor case - it will be thrown away on Friday for it is beyond repair. I will pay extra in the morning to have it wrapped in something like cling film just to hold it together.
After shopping Mam and John and I treated ourselves to an ice cream in Swensons.
Then we came home and John played in the bath out in the garden whilst Mam hosed down the car.
Then she decided to rearrange the kitchen. It is small, and she has plans for an extension; in the meantime she thought she could make it look bigger by swapping things around.
At 4 o'clock we went to pick up Jessica. It amazes me that I am free to wander in the school and collect her on my own. She chose to go to the snack bar that it is operation from early morning til about 6 o'clock to buy an ice cream.
This evening Jamie will finish an hour early - Gilbert being kind enough to allow this today so that he could be with his mother! He will have to work longer on other days. I am not sure where we will go. Wonder if it will be Leelawaddi!
Phew! Hot! Time to go and have a shower. Wonder how it will feel to be in England on a March evening tomorrow.
More blogging from England when I have sorted pictures of course.
