Brief notes on this day
I am writing early today - before the day is done.
But maybe I shall not have very much time this evening, because Bill's sister Julie and husband, Roger are coming round.
Today has been hot again - yes, Jamie I do mean hot. It is over 30 degrees.
I sat out for a while again this morning with my book.
In fact I have looked at a lot of books because I described 11 to be listed on EBay - they are there now.
But I had to go out. I had an appointment for my Vitamin B12 injection at the doctor's surgery.
The nurse always likes to be up to date with all the little tests they should do and this time asked for a sample.
I know I have not given one of those since October 2007.
It is a bit complicated now.
My assumption that such things would now be very easy was wrong because the sample has to be collected directly from the stoma.
I will do it one day next week when changing the wee bag.
We also posted parcels.
One was the book that Roger passed on to me - which sold very well - just over £11.
I shall be making some financial contribution to our night with you in a couple of weeks I think!
I spent a little while writing up my most recent version of the Ellis family history.
Stephen and Fiona's baby will be named Ruben.
And I had the pleasure of telling them there already was a Reuben in the family - Stephen's great great uncle Reuben.
So I am ready to pass on the details of the earlier Reuben's family.
This afternoon Bill set about working out the duty sheet for Sunday's athletics meeting.
It is a county championships meeting for Under 13s and veteran athletes - or masters as they prefer to be known as these days.
They shouldn't be so sensitive.
But it does avoid some confusions..... a long time ago now I was watching some athletics when my Dad was around. It was women's javelin we were watching. Dad suddenly commented that he didn't know that Tessa Sanderson was an animal doctor! She had just passed her 35th birthday and therefore was a "vet".
Bill was feeling hesitant about preparing his team. So basically I did it.
And I shall deal with all his paperwork on Sunday and generally look after him.
I was sorting some pictures for a Thailand blog - loads of them from Sapan Hin. It is hard to believe that so long has passed and I had not done any rotating and cropping etc of photos from this day. I still have a couple more days to sort out.
Never mind it is stretching the time when I am still involved with out Thailand trip.
Now theat day's photos are dealt with and numbered and I have started to share some with you on the blog after this entry.
Meanwhile the Williams sisters played tennis - both were victorious and will battle it out in the final.
I must get some food cooked soon - fish pie and jacket potatoes and veg this evening.
Maybe this time for a shower before we eat.
Hope your day has been good, whether at work or at play.
