28th May. Ann's 60th birthday. The family and home.

Ann is my sister in law. She was married to my brother, Robin, who died in 1980.
We felt so pleased to be able to share in the celebrations for her 60th birthday and to feel the love and warmth within her family, despite the very sad deaths and separations that have occurred.
We thought of those absent of course, but then happily enjoyed the day.

Michaela (Ann's daughter) made the cake. I loved the clever gardening references in the corner.

Now here are some pictures of others in the family.

Michaela.

Three generations of the family.

Robert looks so grown up.

Here is Ann with her partner Steve. They had only just returned from a holiday on The Amalfi Coast (Italy).

Robert with his father, Clive.

Ann's dog trying to do battle with one of Robert's toys.

Now for a few pictures showing Ann and Steve's lovely home.

From the main living room we can look up to a small gallery.

This is the view from the gallery.

The dresser with lots of lovely china and 2 wonderful family photographs of Michaela, Clive and Robert done by a professional photographer.
I would love to explore Ann's garden again, but the weather on that Bank Holiday Monday was just awful and none of us ventured far outdoors.
There will have to be another occasion to see all that Ann has achieved in her garden.
