Food and Drink Phuket Tour. Roti in Thalang Road and Kaewjai.

We enjoyed three stops for food and drink during our Phuket heritage Tour.
Firstly we went into a basic cafe - no finesse to the decor, where we enjoyed roti.
Roti are a form of pancake. We were told by Po and Gan, our guides, that roti is traditionally eaten with curry. Simon and I nobly went traditional. Bill opted for banana and condensed milk.
Fortunately we went back on another day with the children and we all had banana roti.
I think the woman who cooked on our second visit did a better job than the man featured below, though the pancake dough was the same.

First take a ball of dough, flatten it and stretch it.

Then flip it around in the air.

Fold it into a neat square - there is one cooking on the hot pan - and start the next one.

Eat with curry - and iced tea.

Ready to move on.
We stopped at an air conditioned little cafe near the museum for lovely long cold drinks and cold flannels.
Later we finished up at an old favourite - Kaewjai.
It is neat and clean, air conditioned, selling good well priced food.

My very tasty rice noodles.
We were back in Kaewjai before the end of our trip.
